Daniel Proietto
Daniel is the Sector Leader for Lander & Rogers' Retail & Supply Chain team. While he practices across all sectors and industries, he has significant retail experience and works with many of Australia's largest retailers.
Daniel also heads up Lander & Rogers' national Workplace Relations & Safety group. He has practised in the areas of industrial relations and employment law for many years and his practice covers all aspects of these speciality areas.
Bastiaan Gasser
Bastiaan is a partner of Minter Ellison’s tax group who specializes in GST. He advises Australian and foreign corporates, government departments, statutory authorities, charitable entities, and superannuation and infrastructure funds.
Freya Carkeek
Freya is employed by a large global company headquartered in Australia in the role of Managing Counsel. Freya works specifically on corporate sustainability issues and for an associated corporate foundation supporting their charitable activities. Previously, she has specialised in commercial/corporate advisory work, mergers & acquisitions and provided legal support to the marketing and joint venture arrangements of the company.
Nigel Preston
Nigel is a retired solicitor. He is now a professional writer. Nigel was partner of three firms over 25 years; Maule, James Preston, then Ebsworth& Ebsworth and finally DLA Phillips Fox. He is fortunate to have particularly broad experience.
Tom Mitrovski
At the date of this interview, Tom is doing his PLT having completed his law degree part time. Tom has been working for an organisation (Law in Order) that uses technology to assist lawyers deal with the problems of very large, document intensive litigation.
Simon Chiarelli
At the time of this interview, Simon had just completed his law degree at LaTrobe University. He averaged 88 and got straight A’s for his law subjects.
Clint Fillipou
Clint is a partner of the firm Ansimoff Legal. The firm is a boutique which operates in Melbourne and Sydney exclusively servicing the advertising market and media industries. Clint’s practice incorporates general contractual advisory matters including agency/client contracts, media, talent, sponsorship, licensing and all types of intellectual property agreements.
Tom Smalley
At the date of this interview Tom was a final year student working as a paralegal with the law firm, King Wood Mallesons. Since then, Tom has accepted a graduate position with that firm.
Terry Bramham
Terry is the founder of a specialist legal practice which acts exclusively for local government in relation to all their affairs. Prior to starting his own firm, he was a partner in a mid-sized firm which also had a specialized practice.
Stacey Grose
Stacey is a partner of BJT Legal an old and prestigious firm located in Ballarat. She is the firm’s principal business/commercial partner and specializes in structuring advice. The firm acts for local businesses of all sizes, farmers and generations of local individuals.
Michael Bishop
Michael is a partner of Pointon Partners. He studied Law Commerce at Melbourne University and joined Pointon Partners immediately upon graduation in 1997. He has a general commercial practice with areas of specialty (M&A, capital raising, ASX listing rules etc.)
Justice James Parrish
Jim Parish is a judge of the County Court in Melbourne. He was appointed in 2009 after a distinguished career as a barrister practicing in workers compensation and personal injuries. He specialized in medical malpractice.
Grace Hall
At the date of this interview Grace is a 3rd year law student at Monash University. At this time she has the results to get an honours degree.
Emin Altiparmack & Rob Walker
Emin Altiparmak and Robert Walker are both partners of Allens Linklaters. Emin has a practice in infrastructure, private equity and the healthcare sector. Robert practices in competition law.
David Brett
David has had several careers and came to the law as an older age student. He is now a principle working with other senior lawyers in a chambers model of practice. David works in the commercial, commercial litigation and deceased estates areas. He brings to bear a very wide pallet of skills and experience.
Andrew Woolfe
Andrew runs an established solo practice from premises in Ivanhoe. He completed his Articles with Phillips Fox & Masel, practiced as a partner with a boutique commercial firm and then began a practice under his own name. The practice is general with a particular emphasis on commercial law and commercial litigation.
Laura Hook & Alana Perna
At the time of this recording both Alana and Laura are tertiary students in their penultimate year of law. Alana is at the University of Melbourne and Laura is at LaTrobe University. Both have enjoyed very successful years at University.
Andrew Tragardh
Andrew is an established barrister who has made a specialty of the recovery money/assets in cases of fraud. He does not generally act in the criminal aspects of fraud.
John Crump
John Crump is a sole practitioner. He practises in areas of law including commercial, family law, property & conveyancing, wills & estates & many more.
Ben Davis
Ben is a dispute resolution lawyer based in Melbourne. He has extensive experience acting for corporate and government clients in a broad range of litigation and advisory matters.
Wil Sheehan
At the date of this recording Wil is in transition to an unknown future in the United States. Wil has had a varied career with an emphasis on technology. He is leaving a large in-house team (BUPA).
Michael Clarke
Michael is a barrister who works exclusively in personal injuries and insurance law. His practice includes appearance and advice work in WorkCover, TAC, public liability, product liability, medical and professional negligence and asbestos matters. He regularly appears in damages trials, serious injury applications and mediations.
